Glasses

2 Corinthians 5:7
Humans are very visual creatures which it makes it extra challenging to surrender to something that can't be seen, yet that's exactly what's required to be a Christian. Paul states that, "It's what we trust in but don't yet see that keeps us going (2 Cor. 5:7 The Message)." This is partly why our testimony becomes so important in aiding others to come to the faith. It is hard to just give in to something heavenly when it is an unknown. When believers share their experiences with God, like how they came to believe and the things that God has done and is doing in their lives it makes it more real for a seeker. When they understand how the unseen promises of God keep us going everyday and how his hands are shaping us and enabling us to do great things and that he is always there to pick us up when life lets us down, they will get a picture of who God is. Like glasses help a person see, so we as Christians need to help those who don't know God catch a glimpse of who he is. Pray that God will give you an opportunity to give some insight into the divine to someone who has not yet committed their life to Christ.
